“A knowledgeable and talented architect, Alan did a great job designing our garage addition. He listened to all my ideas and used my input all while keeping the drawings and specs to the building codes. He is highly experienced and very highly recommended..”

“Alan Taylor met promptly with me and my daughter after we set a date and time for our project. His design ideas were most helpful. He has years of experience working with clients in my hometown. He was recommended to me by a Land use attorney who has collaborated with Alan successfully for many decades. Alan quickly drew up an estimate and guidelines for the house renovation. All were reasonable in scope and price.”

“I hired Alan to design a 3rd bedroom addition (first floor, expanded footprint) for my home in Dedham. This was a challenging project in that I was attempting to build close to my neighbors property line. Alan investigated further with the town and learned which specific building materials would be required given my situation. He also gave additional guidance in working with my town along the way. Alan is a good communicator and had great recommendations for my project. He was also easy to work with when there were tweaks or changes requested on my end. Alan was also willing to consult directly with the contractor that I eventually hired for the job to ensure nothing was lost in translation. Even the contractor mentioned a few times that Alan had done a great job with his plans and additional ideas. The room is now complete and is even better that I imagined it would be. I would enthusiastically recommend Alan to anyone in need of an architect.”

“We wholeheartedly recommend Alan Taylor. He is very professional, reliable, client orientated, highly ethical and innovative with his designs & solutions. He was extremely responsive to our needs and concerns from beginning to completion of our project. He worked well with the entire team (received many compliments from carpenters, various trades people, inspectors, etc.) Alan is the consummate professional we would contact (and hire) if we have another project or friend in need of architectural services..”

“Alan is extraordinarily professional and an astute listener and communicator. He has his client’s best interest as his driving factor. Would highly recommend.”

“We employed Alan E. Taylor, Architect to draw up the plans that would allow us to age-in-place in the family home. We enjoyed working with Mr. Taylor on our project. He was enthusiastic in helping us to design changes that would allow us to be all on one floor. His engineering skills helped in deciding what structural changes were possible. He designed an addition and other exterior and interior structural changes that blended nicely with the rest of the house both interior & exterior. He also tried to help us find a way to put in a laundry on the first floor that would be in compliance with the town regulations.”

“Alan was respectful, knowledgeable, and very thorough. He went throughout our home, from the basement up into the attic, and took careful note of the areas of opportunity. We will be having him back, to work up more detailed plans and drawings, so we can better plan for future work. We would highly recommend Alan. He has been professional from minute one, and we're glad to have found him.”

“Alan is a customer centric consultant. He elicited information from me and provide recommendations that are in the best interest of my situation. I am in the process of doing a complete renovation of a condo unit in a 1900 brownstone in Boston. I’ve been struggling to determine how best to renovate and what should be the final use case (rental vs owner occupy) for the unit. Alan using his years of experience as an architect; knowledge of the Boston building code, real estate market, and just common sense developed thru his years of consulting and provided me with valuable insight for my decision. He provided recommendations with various bath and kitchen change, room adjustment options, the pro and cons, licensing and cost considerations for the particular use case. During the visit he demonstrated his commend of relevant building code requirements. Shared his experiences as a landlord, property manager, and home owner. He provided think outside of the box scenarios for me to extract the maximum value of the unit whether it is for rental or owner occupy..”
